Jennifer Brown, DVM
Dr. Brown grew
up in Indianapolis and earned her undergraduate
degree at Indiana University, where she played
clarinet in the marching band. She graduated
with honors from the Purdue University School of
Veterinary Medicine and then went to the
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for a
Master’s of Public Health in infectious disease
epidemiology. Dr. Brown spent two years in the
U.S. Public Health Service studying West Nile and
other viruses at the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) in Colorado.
Dr.
Brown has been practicing at Caring Hands since July
2005. Her interests include infectious
diseases, public health, shelter medicine and
endocrinology. Dr. Brown is married and has a
domestic shorthair cat, Bert. Her beloved
friend Radar (pictured) died on May 1, 2007.
Her hobbies include Middle Eastern dance, hiking,
camping, canoeing, reading, knitting, traveling,
photography, flying kites, and crosswords. Her
favorite thing about Caring Hands Animal Hospital is
the commitment to providing a superior level of
patient care. |
